Greg was raised in a middle-class family on a small farm in rural mid-Michigan. His father owned a small business and worked full time as an electrician for General Motors. His mother stayed home to rear a family of five boys and one girl.
Growing up on a small farm and in a small business environment taught Greg much about trust and responsibilities. He learned early that working smart, as well as hard, leads to success. All the Czymbor children were taught the importance of investing time and effort to learn tools and techniques to perform tasks proficiently.
Greg studied civil engineering at Michigan Technological University. Just shy of a degree, he gave in to a strong entrepreneurial impulse to join two brothers in a printing company. They were quick to adopt technological changes that led to a strong, successful business.
Although computers are an integral part of his life, Greg says that the smart phone is the device that revolutionized it. A world traveler, Greg has found that computers and smart phones made his life easier while on the road.
Greg enjoys traveling, running and walking. He enjoys networking and socializing both traditionally and online.
While he likes learning about tools that make life easier and more fulling, his true joy is sharing this information others, teaching how technology can improve and simplify day-to-day life.
Greg Czymbor draws on these unique life experiences to provide inspirational and educational lectures. By 40 years of age, he ran a successful business, began traveling full time, wrote and published a book, and began “practicing retirement”.
After removing himself from day to day job functions in his printing company, Greg combined helping others with his joy of leveraging modern technology to begin living life with a purpose. He created www.morethanjustguides.com. This organization is dedicated to teach people how everyday technology can be used to improve and simplify modern lives. The organization gets people excited about technology by teaching them simple, creative and common sense ways to complete everyday tasks easier.
Greg began his mission to help others by creating and presenting workshops. These workshops provide awareness, encouragement and education of commonly available tools and techniques that can improve individual lives. Each workshop helps people discover ways to use ordinary tools that have become available to consumers within the last ten years. By learning ways to leverage these tools individuals are encouraged to adopt them into their daily routine. Greg’s passion of helping others provides inspirational and motivational workshops that appeal to people of all ages.
Greg wrote and published his first book titled: More Than Just Pictures: How Photos Can Change Your Life! The book is the first in a series to support and help individuals change lifelong habits of completing tasks the “Old Fashioned” way. Future book subjects, include Search Engines, Email and Mobile Phones.
Recognizing the impact of the workshops can be improved by reaching out and helping traditional and online media outlets. Greg and the More Than Just Guides team are prepared to share the many ways recent developments can improve the life of people around the world. The material is ideal for newspaper, radio and TV. From a simple article or interview to a weekly column or hourly update we are prepared to share this information to help your organization with material.
